Eilish assists in advising clients in all areas of the firm’s practice. She has particular experience in contract claims, professional negligence, insurance and construction law.
Eilish has appeared in the New Zealand High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as in several Tribunals around Aotearoa. Eilish has also advocated for clients in a variety of alternative dispute resolution fora, including arbitrations.
Eilish joined Gilbert Walker as a research and litigation assistant while completing her law degree, before progressing to become an Associate with the firm in 2021 and then as a Consultant in 2023. Eilish won the ALSA Client Interviewing competition in 2019, and was a recipient of the Dean’s Academic Excellence Award for Law in 2021.
